This time of year is so magical. So many things come to mind. Hot cider. Cider donuts. Multi-colored leaves. Beautiful trees in red, yellow and orange. The weather is chilly but not yet cold. You go outside and just the tip of your nose gets chilly. Warm blankets and good books. Cold floors. Pulling out knits and being wrapped in warmth to offset the chill in the air. Soup on the stove. Bread in the oven. Not wanting to climb out of a warm bed in the morning. The sounds of the heat coming on for the first time in months. The desire to stay home and curl up with a good book or knitting and a sappy movie. Cozy. Warm. Reflective. Introverted pleasures. The chill in the air gives you permission to relax and take a break. The list can wait. Fall is in the air and it’s the beginning of my favorite season. Pumpkins, apple pies, hot coffee or tea. Seeing your breath in the chilly air. The most invigorating time of year. It’s time to pull out fall knits. Plan the fall/winter projects and make something warm and yummy. Some say that Christmas is the most magical season but for me it’s always been fall. Sigh. Fall. What are you looking forward to this fall? |
